The Alumni Community of “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad is a vast and dynamic network of graduates who, through their professional and personal achievements, continue to contribute to our institution’s prestige.
UAV graduates are active in a wide range of fields, both nationally and internationally, holding positions as leaders, innovators, and recognized specialists. Each of them succeeds in bringing value to the community and reflects our university’s commitment to training competent professionals, well prepared for the challenges of contemporary society.
Through dedicated programs and initiatives, the Alumni section offers opportunities for networking, professional collaboration, and continuous development, keeping the connection between the university and its graduates alive. My career evolution has been a dynamic process marked by continuous learning, adaptability, and a desire to achieve professional excellence.
I began my studies in a field I was passionate about, 'Management' at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at 'Aurel Vlaicu' University of Arad in 2006. I deepened my knowledge with a Master's in Financial and Accounting Administration, graduating in 2009. I consider my student years foundational for my career, opening the path to my professional journey. I feel fortunate to have had exceptional professors who guided me toward what awaited post-graduation.
My first job was as an economist in the commercial department of an energy company in Arad. This role gave me a solid understanding of core practices and principles, allowing me to build essential technical skills and become familiar with the professional environment.
After two years, I felt ready for a career shift and joined a company in the automotive parts manufacturing industry (automobiles being one of my great passions). I held the position of Purchasing Analyst in their Financial Department for two years.
As I gained experience and confidence, the opportunity arose to truly practice what I loved and trained for: project management, still within the automotive sector. Over the seven years I spent as a Project Manager in the automotive industry, I participated in various projects that helped me broaden my expertise and diversify my skill set. I adapted constantly to industry changes, keeping up with the latest trends and technologies. This openness to learning and flexibility helped me grow and build a successful career.
An important milestone in my career came in 2022 when I decided it was time for a significant change, shifting to the IT field.
Currently, I work as a Senior IT Project Manager at Bosch Service Solutions in Timișoara, coordinating digitalization projects for the company's production systems.
Today, I consider myself an experienced professional capable of adding value to any team or project. My career evolution is the result of dedication, hard work, and a desire for continuous development. Looking back, I am proud of my progress and look forward to new challenges and opportunities for career growth in the future.
Dorina Pac

I am a straightforward person, passionate about finance, engaged in continuous learning, inclined toward perfectionism, and willing to invest the effort needed to achieve my goals.
My professional path hasn’t been an easy one, but through hard work, discipline, and perseverance I’ve managed to build a solid knowledge base, create successful interpersonal relationships, and develop the self-confidence to inspire trust in the people around me.
I began my university studies at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad in 2001, where I benefited from exceptional guidance—professors who mentored me and helped me develop communication skills and professional training in the economic and financial fields, opening my horizons toward my future career.
In parallel with my studies, I worked at the automotive company Leoni Wiring Systems as a quality inspector, which strengthened my powers of observation, ability to multitask, attention to detail, and team spirit.
The year 2006 was decisive for me: I successfully completed my studies and, following a very extensive selection process, was hired by BRD Groupe Société Générale in Arad as a universal teller.
Over more than 18 years in banking, I have accumulated extensive experience, gradually holding several positions: Customer and Operations Manager, Mass-Market Customer Manager, Agency Director, and currently Branch Director.
Today I consider myself an experienced leader, able to add value to the organization I am part of. I am proud of my progress, confident in the people around me with whom I have built enduring relationships. I am motivated by performance, continually striving to create “time for every member of my team,” to build emotional connection, and to inspire through my personal example.
Sebastian Rotaru
Regional Manager Amazon
Sebastian Rotaru is a graduate of “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad, where he completed his bachelor’s and master’s studies. Previously, he pursued an economics track at the “Francisc Neumann” Technological College in Arad, and he completed his middle and primary schooling at Șagu General School.
With more than five and a half years of experience at Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce retailer, Sebastian has held various roles in learning and development, human resources, and operations. He currently holds a regional manager role focused on employee recognition and satisfaction, coordinating initiatives for 9 logistics centers and managing programs serving 7,472 employees.
In addition to his primary role, Sebastian is the Director of Glamazon, Community and Allyship UK, Amazon’s LGBTQ+ employee group. In this capacity, he is responsible for planning and implementing national projects, including Pride, HIV awareness campaigns, volunteer programs, and strategic partnerships with other companies.
Dedicated to promoting an inclusive and innovative work environment, Sebastian Rotaru is a success story for the alumni community of “Aurel Vlaicu” University of Arad.

A Journey Toward My Dream
Ever since university, I had a clear dream: to travel the world and work in an international environment. Today, that dream has become reality—I live in Dubai and am cabin crew with Emirates, discovering new destinations and cultures every day.
The road here was no accident. One of the most important moments in my professional development was the opportunity offered by the faculty to take part in the Erasmus program. This experience took me to Spain, where I worked in a 4-star hotel. It was the first time I was exposed to an international work environment, where I learned to adapt quickly, communicate effectively with people from different corners of the world, and sharpen my customer service skills.
My professors played an essential role in my growth: they not only provided valuable knowledge, but also encouraged me to push my limits and follow my dreams. Their support, the advice I received, and the motivation they gave me were extremely important. They taught me that success comes not only from theory, but also from real experiences, from the courage to try, and from the desire to keep learning.
All my university years contributed to my development, giving me not only the knowledge I needed, but also the confidence that I can succeed. They taught me that opportunities must be seized when they arise and that every experience, no matter how small, prepares you for what comes next.
For anyone who has a dream, my message is simple: don’t give up! Since high school, I wanted deeply to get here, and through hard work, perseverance, and the support I received during my studies, today I’m living the life I imagined.
